This attribute can be added to the digital Download (files added to digital product) to help you mark it for internal use or to for your customers. As an example, you can add Download Attribute with name Version and with multi-select type to indicate customer customers what versions are supported.
Create Download Attribute
Add it into Digital Download and select values
