Go to System → Settings → System

Recommended is ON. Enable this setting if you want to check your system condition with respect to AbanteCart functionality. System issues affecting AbanteCart will be reported as messages visible in admin.

This automatic tool includes checking of beginners mistakes like:

• presence of install directory - you should always remove it after AbanteCart completed
• index.php writeable - it is strongly recommended to set your yourwebsite.com/index.php file to read mode only. Some hosting providers can even prevent your website from load if this file writable
• config.php writeable
• read/write for resources folders and files
• session save path
