PayPal Commerce
Go to the Extensions → Payments
The PayPal Commerce extension integrates your AbanteCart store with PayPal’s Commerce Platform, allowing you to accept PayPal and major credit/debit card payments securely. This integration supports both live and sandbox (test) environments and allows full control over payment statuses, transaction methods, and visibility.
Configuration Options:
Connect with PayPal (live)
Click to authorize your store with your live PayPal Business Account.
This connection is required for processing real transactions.
Connect with PayPal (test)
Use this to connect with your PayPal Sandbox Account for testing transactions before going live.
Tip: If you cannot connect, report the issue to the AbanteCart Support. You can fill in your PayPal API credentials manually by clicking on the Cannot connect? button.
Use “Update Webhooks” to refresh webhook URLs used by PayPal to send payment notifications to your store.
Keep webhooks updated after store URL or SSL changes.
Transaction Method
Choose how payments are processed:
Capture – Funds are captured immediately when the order is placed.
Authorize – Authorizes the amount for later manual capture. Use Authorize method if you prefer to capture funds later (e.g., after shipping).
Enabled Components
Select which PayPal features to activate:
PayPal Buttons (default)
Other PayPal components, if available.
