Creating a Legal Page
Navigate to Content: In your AbanteCart admin panel, go to Content → Pages.
Add New Page: Click the "Add New" button.
Content Title: Enter a clear and descriptive title for your legal page (e.g., "Terms and Conditions," "Privacy Policy," "Shipping & Returns").
Content: Use the WYSIWYG editor or HTML editor to create the content of your legal page. You can format text, add images, and embed videos. Make sure your legal content is accurate, up-to-date, and easy for customers to understand. If you need help writing your legal documents, consult with a legal professional.
SEO keyword (Optional): You can configure SEO keyword or slug for your legal page, to improve its visibility in search engines. While not as crucial as product pages, it's still good practice.
Save Page: Click the "Save" button to create your legal page.
Other fields are optional and not required for Legal Pages.
Setting Legal Page for Registration
AbanteCart allows you to require customers to agree to your terms and conditions before creating an account. This helps protect your business and ensures that customers are aware of your policies.
Go to System Settings: In your admin panel, navigate to System → Settings → Store Settings.
Checkout Tab: Click on the "Checkout" tab.
Account Terms: You'll find a setting to set a legal agreement.
Select Your Page: Use the dropdown menu next to each setting to select the corresponding legal page you created
Save Settings: Click the "Save" button to update your store settings.
Now, during the registration process, customers will be required to check the box to agree to the specified terms and conditions before they can register their account.
