Local delivery

The Local Delivery shipping extension is designed to allow AbanteCart merchants to offer delivery services only to customers located within a specific, predefined geographic area. By defining allowed postal codes and setting conditions like a minimum order amount, you can tightly control where and when this shipping method appears, providing a flexible and cost-effective way to serve your local customer base.

Allowed Postcodes: Enter a comma-separated list of all postal codes (zip codes) where your store offers local delivery service. The Local Delivery option will only appear during checkout if a customer's shipping address postal code matches one of the codes in this list.

Wildcard support: You can use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard to match multiple codes.
Example: Entering 30001,3002,40*,*ND will match the exact codes 30001 and 3002, any code starting with 40 (e.g., 40123), and any code ending in ND (e.g., 584ND).

Minimum Order Amount: This setting is optional. Use it to set a minimum order subtotal that a customer must meet to qualify for the Local Delivery option. If the order total is below this amount, the option will not be displayed, even if their postcode is included in the allowed list.

Delivery Fee: Specify the flat monetary cost for the local delivery service. If you wish to offer Free Local Delivery, you must set this value to 0 (zero).
