Product reviews are a valuable asset for any online store. They provide social proof, build trust, and help potential customers make informed purchasing decisions. AbanteCart allows you to manage product reviews effectively, moderating submissions, editing existing reviews, and even creating your own ratings.

Reviews Edit

The Catalog → Reviews page displays a list of all product reviews. This page provides an overview of submitted reviews and allows you to perform various actions, including editing, moderating, and deleting reviews.

All reviews can be edited or moderated by site administrators.

Status: The review status determines whether the review is displayed on the storefront.

Verified purchase: Enabling this option displays a "Verified" badge next to the rating stars on the product page. This indicates that the review was posted by a customer who actually purchased the product, adding credibility to the review.

Author: Enter the author's name as it will appear on the storefront. The author's name must be between 3 and 64 characters.

Product: select the specific product the review is about.

Text: Enter or modify the review text.

Rating: Select the review rating. The rating scale ranges from 1 star (Bad) to 5 stars (Good).

Reviews on Storefront

Customers can write reviews on the product page by clicking on the "Reviews" tab. Note: The appearance and placement of the "Reviews" tab may vary depending on the third-party template used.

While customers can submit reviews on the storefront, you, as the store administrator, have full control over which reviews are displayed. All submitted reviews must be moderated and approved in the AbanteCart admin panel (as described in the previous sections) before they will appear on the storefront. This allows you to filter out spam, inappropriate content, or reviews that don't meet your store's guidelines.

Spam Prevention (Captcha/reCaptcha):

To prevent spam reviews from bots, the review form typically uses a captcha for human verification. You can replace the default captcha with a more advanced Google reCaptcha for enhanced spam protection.
