Go to System → Settings → General

This setting in AbanteCart adds a layer of security to your customer registration process, helping to prevent spam and bot account creation.

How it Works:

  • Human Verification: When enabled, a CAPTCHA challenge is displayed on the "Create Account" form. This challenge requires users to prove they are human by completing a task that is difficult for bots to automate.

  • Types of Captcha: AbanteCart typically supports standard CAPTCHA challenges (distorted text images) and Google reCAPTCHA.

  • reCAPTCHA Configuration: If you choose to use Google reCAPTCHA, you'll need to configure reCAPTCHA keys in your AbanteCart store settings. These keys are obtained from Google's reCAPTCHA service.
