Generate high-res images

Go to System → Settings → System

Activate this setting to automatically generate high-resolution versions of your product, category and brand images for devices with retina displays. This ensures crisp and clear visuals on devices with higher pixel densities.

When this feature is enabled, AbanteCart will create two versions of each image: the regular size and a @2x version with double the resolution. Retina display devices utilize more pixels per square inch, resulting in sharper visuals. By providing higher-resolution images, you prevent elements from appearing blurry.

To use the high-resolution image generation feature in AbanteCart, ensure that the Apache module mod_rewrite is installed and configured correctly on your server. Verify with your web hosting provider if mod_rewrite is enabled on your server. If not, request them to activate it.

If you access store with sub-folder like http://www.mydomain/subfolder make sure to change RewriteBase / to RewriteBase /subfolder/ in the .htaccess file.
