Go to Extensions → Get Extensions → Connect

Connecting your AbanteCart store to the official Marketplace unlocks a world of possibilities, giving you easy access to new extensions, themes, updates, and streamlined purchasing.

 

Steps to Connect

  1. Navigate to Get Extensions: In your AbanteCart admin panel, go to Extensions → Get Extensions.

  2. Click Connect: Click the "Connect" button.

  3. Register or Log In: A popup will appear. If you're a new user, register a new account on http://marketplace.abantecart.com. If you're already registered, log in with your Marketplace credentials.

  4. Authorize Connection: After logging in, you'll likely be asked to authorize the connection between your store and your Marketplace account.

 

Benefits of Connecting

  • Immediate Installation: After purchasing an extension, the installation process can often be initiated automatically.

  • View Purchased Extensions: You can easily view all your purchased extensions under the connected domain in the "My Extensions" section of the Extensions Manager.

  • Seamless Updates: Receive notifications about new versions and install updates directly from the Marketplace.

  • Browse All Extensions: Browse the entire Marketplace catalog within your admin panel.

 

Important Information:

  • Purchase Visibility: The extensions displayed in your store's "My Extensions" section are limited to purchases made specifically for your store's URL. To see all your purchases across all your stores, visit http://marketplace.abantecart.com → Account → Extension Downloads.

  • Licensing and Support:

    • Each AbanteCart store (identified by its URL) requires a separate license for extensions purchased from the Marketplace.

    • Purchased extensions come with 120 days of support from the author, including free upgrades during this period.

    • After the initial 120 days, you can extend support and updates for another year by purchasing an additional support term. Without extended support, you will not receive updates.

 

 

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

  • SSL Required: Connecting to the Marketplace requires a secure connection (HTTPS) for your AbanteCart admin panel. Ensure that your admin URL uses HTTPS.

  • Third-Party Cookies: You must enable third-party cookies in your browser for the Marketplace connection to work correctly. This is due to recent browser security changes.

  • Clear Cache: If you've made changes to your browser settings or SSL configuration, it's essential to close all open AbanteCart pages and clear your browser cache. Then, reopen your AbanteCart admin URL using HTTPS before attempting to reconnect to the Marketplace. This ensures that the changes are applied correctly.

By connecting your store to the AbanteCart Marketplace, you'll have a much smoother experience managing and extending your store's functionality. Pay close attention to the troubleshooting tips if you encounter any issues with the connection process.
